Since two weeks before the release of the Apple's Tablet, iPad, until I read an article at techcrunch, my food for thought was, " Leaving alone the fact that I can use an iPad to read many many books while I am on the way to the office, travelling, etc., 'What else, What more, What special' can I do with this new 'iphone-for-giants'. Yeah, there could be a million apps, billion games, and zillion movies. But, I dont play games, The mobile apps I use are way too less and selective, Music I dont want to carry a big pad, Movies I dont want to watch in a small screen. The answer is very simple. "I do not get more benefit than having a portable, electronic reading pad. And this is NOT for me and other wise guys, geeks or computer savvys ( he he .. :D , yes I called myself that now ) . This is for our wifes, mums, dads, grandpas, grandmas, kids, teens.
As said by Daniel Tenner, this is the uncomputer for the masses, to do simple stuff like, to check airline ticket prices, to find out the weather, to go on Facebook, to buy movie tickets, to check email, to call on Skype, and a thousand other little uses that aren’t very taxing or challenging.
I think iPad will be like the eye pencil my wife uses. She uses it ( eye pencil ) almost daily, and is very happy with it, and I borrow it once in a while to hide my few grey hairs :). Let us see If the eyePad converts itself into a much much more useful real iMachine by the time it is offically released for customers.
